Year 5 TeacherI grew up in North London and then went on to attend the University of Nottingham where I received my BA (Hons) in Sociology before going on to the University of Brighton to gain my Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
I began my teaching career working at a school in North London, teaching for several years in Year 3 and then for three years in Year 5. During this time, I took on additional responsibility for Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) and became a mentor to trainee teachers from Middlesex University. I also had the privilege of travelling to Ghana with the British Council on a school research project.
I strive to make my classroom a fun, inspiring and challenging environment that encourages high academic achievement by promoting positive life skills and a feeling of success for all children. I am very excited to be joining the British School of Chicago and am really looking forward to working with the ‘Perfect Panthers’.
