My story begins in Minneapolis, MN where I grew up surrounded by wonderful family and friends. As a young girl I always said I would be a Veterinarian when I grew up. As I matured I came to realize that my true passion was for a career working directly with children. I attended Winona State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. While at school I was gaining experience as a Nanny and an Assistant Teacher at a daycare. After graduating I became a Therapeutic Behavior Specialist (TBS). As a TBS I performed in home therapy with children that have Autism Spectrum Disorders and was an Assistant Teacher for a class as well.

During my time at Winona State I considered striving for a Master's Degree in Child Development. Then my experience working as a TBS solidified the desire for further education. I decided I wanted to learn more about child development to better myself as a professional and to have the knowledge to help children as much as possible. Now I am attending Erikson Institute where I am working towards a Master's Degree in Child Development. I could not be more excited about expanding on my education, knowledge, and experience here in Chicago and at BSC.
