Henry Bray
Teacher - Year 6
I grew up in the rural county of Shropshire before going to university in Liverpool to study for my degree. After completion of my degree course I moved down to London and attended Brunel University where I successfully earned my Post Graduate Certificate of Education.
My previous teaching position in the United Kingdom was in a school in West London where I taught Year 5. During my time there my responsibilities were very varied, including organizing the school library and designing the school Able, Gifted and Talented programme, which I especially enjoyed as it gave me the opportunity to see what children really can achieve.
I also ran a number of after school clubs, mainly on the sporting side of things and I have continued this here in Chicago.
I was and still am hugely excited about the opportunity to teach in Chicago and have enjoyed teaching Year 3 and Year 4 during the two years I have been here. I am now going to be taking on a Year 6 class and am really relishing the prospect.
