Year 2 TeacherI grew up in Plymouth, on the South West coast of England, before going to the University of Warwick to complete a BA in History and Literature. Whilst at University I was fortunate enough to spend an academic year in the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I became fluent in Spanish and discovered a love of travelling and an interest in global cultures.
After graduating I moved to Bristol to complete a PGCE and then began my teaching career. I have taught at two very different, but highly successful, primary schools in outer and inner London for the last 4 years.
So far in my teaching career I have gained experience in teaching both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, which has prepared me for the many challenges that teaching can bring. I have also gained management experience by overseeing the creative curriculum in my second position, as well as running a number of after school clubs.
I believe that teaching needs to be dynamic, creative and high quality and I take pride in the lessons I deliver to my class. I am very excited about being offered this opportunity to work in a fantastic city such as Chicago and such a successful school as the BSC, and I am sure the Fantastic Foxes and I will have a very enjoyable year!
