Shauna Nugent
Teacher - Art and Design Technology
I grew up in Armagh, Northern Ireland before relocating to Liverpool, England to study Fine Art and education. I consider myself to be a dynamic, passionate, multi-disciplinary artist with experience in all areas of art and design. Upon my graduation in 2007 I was awarded the prestigious prize for ‘Fine Artist of the Year’. After graduating I completed my post graduate teaching qualification along with Masters Accreditations in the Artist Teachers MA.
During the past four years of teaching I have worked hard to arrange pupils to exhibit in the Royal Albert Hall, London, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and the West Coast Cooler fashion show awards in Belfast. I believe links with the wider community and exhibition of work allows young people to develop as modern artists and designers. I have been lucky enough to have taught in Ireland and England under different curriculums, this invaluable experience has enabled me to have a more differentiated approach to teaching.
I am very excited about the forthcoming year teaching Art and DT in BSC!
