Simon Webb
Secondary Deputy Head
I was educated in the UK and graduated from the University of Leicester with an MBA in Educational Management and from UWE with an honors degree in Business Education.
I have 19 years’ experience in UK schools and have been a Deputy Head in London and Buckinghamshire. I have also been Head of Business Management and IT faculties, which is my specialist area. As a Deputy Head I have specialized in Teaching and Learning, Human Resources, IT Strategy, Curriculum Development and Pastoral Support. I have also completed post graduate courses in meeting individual student’s needs.
Outside of my career, I was a Queens scout and I have played competitive league field hockey for travelling teams my whole life. I love helping children to engage in a sporting lifestyle and I am a qualified coach in hockey, volleyball and lacrosse. My personal passion is for the outdoors, I am a qualified Mountain Leader and also enjoy climbing, mountain biking and canoeing in the French and Swiss Alps, which I was privileged to be able to visit annually.
I started at BSC in May 2011 and I am really enjoying my role as Deputy Head of the School. I am keen to learn very quickly what makes the British School unique and help it continue to provide our students with a world class education and progression to Universities around the world.
I believe that education is one of the few gifts we can give our children that can never be taken away and it is my aim to ensure the Secondary school provides an international experience and enhances the life chances for our students.
