Learning Assistant
As a 2010 graduate of DePaul University, I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education. DePaul has greatly prepared me to use differentiated instruction in the classroom and also has provided me with a great understanding of what it is like to teach in an urban environment.
Last year I worked in two different public schools in the suburbs of Chicago as a Special Education Paraprofessional, focusing on giving every student the assistance and encouragement they needed to succeed. As an English major I have an innate love for reading and writing and I am excited to focus on that in the classroom this year as a Year 2 learning assistant.
Outside of school I enjoy playing tennis and badminton with my friends and family. I also really enjoy watching movies and listening to all different kinds of music. This summer I will be getting married and I am really excited to finish up my weddings plans!
