Thank you for considering the British School of Chicago for such an important decision as the future education of your child. Our priority is to ensure that your child receives an all-encompassing learning experience which will prepare them for the world of tomorrow.

The British School of Chicago attracts children both from the local and international communities. Our main admissions intake is at the beginning of the academic year, but we also admit children as and when a space becomes available throughout the year.

Applications cannot be activated unless accompanied by the non-refundable application fee. Timelines for applicant statements, teacher evaluations, report cards and test scores are available under the year group pages.

Places are offered using the following criteria:

  • Siblings are given priority although places cannot be guaranteed;
  • Successful visit and assessment of child's readiness;
  • Even balance of sexes (priority may be given to children of the minority sex where there is an imbalance in an individual class.)

The British School of Chicago reserves the right to exclude children whose behavior or educational needs cannot be met by the school.

If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to take a school tour to learn more about us.  For further information please contact:
